Dear Ms. Montique:
After reviewing your order to have phone service installed, I discovered the order was missing several pieces of information needed to process your order. We are currently going through a few policy changes, which may have caused some confusion with what is needed to complete the install for a new construction home.
On all new construction homes, a site survey has to be completed before we can process an order to install phone service. I regret to inform you that the site survey completed by our technicians on August 23, 2006, shows your home is currently not equipped for our phone service.
Before we are able to provide telephone service at your residence, the outside line ran from your home to the telephone pole has to be shortened. This is needed to ensure clear, quality phone service. An additional out let is also needed for the phone modem in the area of your home you have specified to have the line installed.
To have this work completed, you can hire an independent contractor or we can complete the work for you at an additional charge. The charge to have the telephone line corrected is $30 and the charge to have an additional outlet installed is $6.95 per outlet.
