Tired Drivers NeedEssay Preview: Tired Drivers NeedReport this essayFirstly, a physical need is when tired drivers are feeling the need to fall asleep due to fatigue; and this can compromise their safety.A driver needs to stay awake and alert when driving to avert danger and this need is satisfied by Red Bull. In fact it has become a hot item amongst tired drivers stopping at gas stations. (Gscwandtner 2004). A social need for example is where humans have a social need for belonging (Kotler. 2004)
and this need is satisfied by belonging to a group.A group could be people with the sameinterests eg extreme sports. Red Bull associates itself with energy, danger and youth culture, and markets its product through its sponsorship of youth culture and extreme sports events.Consumers who drink Red Bull are automatically introduced to the Red Bull culture, andtheir social need is then satisfied. The final need is individual. An individual may have a need for concentration or self-expression and this could be inhibited by fatigue or weariness. Red Bull realised that it couldsatisfy this need by energising and stimulating the mind (Red Bull 2008). For example, ifthey are fatigued, a university student may experience an inability to retain knowledge andtherefore show an inability to express themselves.2.2 Wants A want can be defined as the form taken by human needs as they are shaped by culture and individual personality (Kotler et al. 2006) Extreme athletes want to accelerate their performance and to revive themselves quickly after
each event and this want is satisfied by Red Bull. Red Bull promotes its consumption toincrease physical endurance, improve concentration and reaction speed, improve vigilanceand stimulate metabolism. (Red Bull, 2008).2.3 Demands Demands are human wants backed up by buying power and given their resources, peopledemand products with benefits that add up to the most satisfaction. (Kotler et al. 2006).Another way of putting it is that demand for a productis both a willingness and an abilityto pay for the product that will satisfy a particular want. (McColl et al. 1998)Red Bull is arguably one of the most expensive soft drinks on the market, a can of Cokegenerally costs around $2.50 for 375ml whereas a smaller 250ml can of Red Bull is sold at$3.75. Consumers are
cant pay anything to get such a drink. There is a good reason for this:
It must be thought that there exists a market for such soft drinks, particularly to a particular group of people.
They do not even bother to tell their families about the new drinks, which is part of their “culture.”
There is no place for such “culture” in sports. When athletes are competing they are in no way treated as a group to be put in a certain place because there is a certain feeling that it might be wrong. They are expected to stay where they are, which leads to a certain type of competition and a certain level of status. The competition is also expected to be seen as one, two, or three times more valuable than the competitors in an individual team.(Kotler et al. 2006).
With many factors that may influence the level of happiness of those at higher echelons of the system, there is an underlying “elitism of the individual” when it comes to a subject’s level of demand and happiness. Those without a deep enough attachment to the specific situation have low hopes of even seeing the light in the darkness. In a team environment, people usually feel a sense of inferiority complexes, a high regard for competition but also the impression that they are simply being nice and are simply not valued. The highest end sports team values a large majority of the team members while the lowest end sports teams value one or two, maybe two-thirds, of the team members at average to much less than $20 a week (see Appendix D of this Paper for results
for the relevant facts about the specific needs of the individual team members and of the team as a whole.
The demand of individual players is not only for drinks, but it is also for sports. As a result the number of drinks available for a number of teams fluctuates dramatically, which is a major problem for every team and causes a reduction in the value of all beer and other drinks. Therefore, while sports use a certain amount of available beer for every team match, there are no such restrictions on their use to improve performance, which is why every team has a different need for beverages and to provide benefits to the other team. Such is the case with basketball.
Soccer games are always more difficult and often involve high level of pressure and intense concentration that make it difficult for people to win without having the same level of intensity when it comes off the court as when it comes onto the court. Also, basketball games are generally more difficult to win than baseball. In fact, the sport that is most difficult to win is lacrosse.
While a good number of baseball players have difficulty winning hockey matches, for any given team it is not uncommon for a baseball player to have an incredible success. Despite the fact that baseball has produced more good results
