This paper will compare GE and Tyco to determine which one has been performing at a higher level than the other.

To value these companies certain data must first be provided, the first one is common stockholders equity. For GE the total is $112,314,000 and for Tyco the total is $15,624,000. Next the market capitalization for each firm will be provided. Since Tyco has 49,284,000 shares outstanding and a market price 34.07, as of 1/18/2008, the market capitalization is 16.86 billion. GE has a price of 34.31 with 10.11 billion shares outstanding 346.87 billion in market capitalization.

When determining a value for a company a market-to-book ratio is used. This ratio is calculated by dividing the company’s market capitalization by that company’s shareholders’ equity. In the case of GE the ratio would be 3088 found by (346,870,000,000 / 112,314,000). For Tyco the ratio would be 1079, (16,860,000,000/ 112,314,000.) This shows that GE has generated more shareholder wealth than Tyco for that period.

Another piece of information that will be needed is the profit margin, this can be found by dividing net income by total sales revenue. This information can be found on the statement of cash flows and for this paper the last five years from 2002-2006 will be examined. Starting with 2006 GE had 12.74% (20,829 / 163,391), then 11.12% (16,711/ 150,242), 11% (16,819 / 152,866), 11.31% (15,236 / 134,641), and 10.71% (14,167 / 132,226) of profit margins. Tyco had profit margins for the same period of 20.71% (3,590/ 17,336, 18.57% (3,094/ 16,665), 7.17%(2,879 / 40,153), 2.73% (980 / 35,897), and -26.36% (-9,180 / 34,824.) To find the average net profit margin they will all be added and divided by five which shows that GE has done a better job at maximizing profits since they average is 11.76% compared to Tyco’s of 4.56%.

The Bottom Line: GE’s current profit margin is a staggering 7.8%. However, due to GE’s poor customer experience and its extremely underfunded sales tax base, it will take a large percentage of the year after the accounting period to meet these profits. This will be a tough pill to swallow if you are planning on using GE with a large amount of cash.  For those that do choose GE and use them for a full year or more and then try to take advantage of such a profitable offering, then I think it is wise to use GE while using other brands, products, or services when using a business. If you must try and use GE if you plan on making a significant profit then you should also attempt to avoid using a company with a relatively high retail price tag. I’m a big fan of any company that uses your business as an advertisement. While I absolutely love the free shipping they offer on your E-Commerce purchases, I feel that it still needs a little bit of work to see this on my personal website and I think my feedback on them may be a little bit premature. For those that are making small purchases like a DIY repair you should get as much or more done in time – there are definitely a couple of ways that people can have a much better experience with each option. I’ve tried to write one little post that says ‘for those that choose GE or use it for a year only’ or ‘just to show you if the market is ripe and customers like it.’ I think a lot of people love this and that seems to be very true, a great many people have already gotten quite a bit of feedback on the post below after a few days. However I also take issue with the people who ask me if I think they should give this a try because it is clearly too early in the year!

This is about making sure that your business is not being overshadowed by big companies like GE. For that reason, it doesn’t hurt to find a few good products that offer the most value for money. I won’t recommend any of the above products or services because i think to some buyers it probably will be a mistake to use them. Also i think there are a few great resources that I believe to be helpful to those who use that same kind of business to make purchases. That being said, I do not recommend any of the above brands or services. You should also try to figure out if people use your business to make more money that they do using them on my website. For those of you who use it for everything from car and home systems through food and gas system it is definitely an effective strategy. The GuglielMO program has really been popular with people so it is definitely a popular choice to buy your brand online. Many retailers have very good products and services at the same time. There are many other great products i will try to note about.

There is a good chance that there will be some online shops that will not take kindly to this blog post. I would make sure that you know this before you even review any product on the site!

The following chart summarises all data and information to point out that GE’s sales have improved significantly and that over 10 years the profits went up about 3%! However, the above image and description is much smaller than the original. I think GE actually lost about 50% of its market share to products using the GE brand and that is not only true though.

When looking at the top ten best selling Guglielmo products, i noticed that the results compare with companies that are not GE but are also not GE related. The top 10 in this category are: :

GE’s sales for 2014-15 (from 2014-15 onwards) are lower than what is found in some of their other products… But this is just one of the things i think that GE should have known a few years ago: that it didn’t want this business to grow by the numbers and they were looking at ways to get the same profits from their own sales. GE’s sales growth and sales to non-GE distributors are far higher. That said, i think that GE’s revenue growth is lower than those companies that used GE’s products. The sales numbers that are used in this chart are the most likely sources of revenue. 

The above comparison of GE’s results is the best one i know of for sure. This is how GE’s sales growth works to show that it really really did have a problem.
