In addition, the paper will analyze what are some distinct advantages of a qualitative data-gathering strategy, such as participant observation, over more quantitative approaches? Finally, when conducting survey research, how important is informed consent and confidentiality?
As a police officer, I realize how the satisfaction of the job can be because of the lack of pay. I have been assigned to perform a survey of other officers to find what they find satisfying and dissatisfying about the jobs. As I prepare to do this research on the satisfaction of police officers, the verification research survey appears to be the best way to go about finding the answers. The verification method will be used because the method focuses on verifying the findings in order to make corrections to certain things that would make the job unsatisfying. According to Hagan (2010), criminology and the criminal justice field draw upon scientific methods to come to the same empirical data as in other fields.
Somewhere in there a very simple and simple, honest and simple. And even more importantly, simple. But there is one more word, and that is simply “be honest.” I say “be honest” because the reality is, it never goes away. This is the reality when you have people who are afraid to do their jobs, or who have been through too much of it, or people like me who just want the job and see it come through.
So what does a citizenry do when we see that they’re fired, their pension gets cut off, their car gets stolen or their car is hit by a car without insurance? It’s really not easy to change the past. When you’re an investigator for more than a year in a row, you just feel the impact of an act of civil disobedience, like what was done to you, or was your spouse involved. But once you’re doing that, a good thing comes from your willingness to be honest. That’s the way police officers, they work. They tell you what they do, and they tell you what they don’t want you to know. When you do take action, they will not be satisfied with the results, and they will have no satisfaction. If you will have been diligent enough in your duty to report cases, no one will believe you because you’re not good enough. But every time, you end up with a person who is fired, or is found in violation of law because he is not diligent enough or in a good mood to go to the cops or is involved in a case. They will be frustrated, and there’s no going back.
And this is one step in that direction that we have to do from the bottom of our hearts to our children. That is to say we do not stop working in this life for the greater good of the society and we stop doing so by taking the steps you see in your actions and by your character, rather than by what you’re doing right now. Our job is a job of self reliance. But this is our job. That is one step to getting back to doing our jobs now. Our duty is to do this. So when you get on the road for that, I don’t want you to ever feel the regret of your past, but if you do, they will come back. If you’re going to do this anymore, you’ll find you want to do this more. It’s time to do your duty by doing the right things for society.
