ABSTRACT
I choose this topic because of the increasing effects of media not only the life of a common man but also influencing on the decisions and policies of government as well. Some recent incident which effects on people minds and trying to change their opinion about any particular national or international issues. Examples include Molalla Yusuf incident, NATO supply issue, invention of Agha Waqar water kit, Balidia fire accident and so many other issues on which media fail to drawn a clear picture of incident and left people in confusion and to astray.
The current media regime not only affected on adult minds but also on the minds of young generation and teenagers who open their eyes in era of innovation and technologies. Therefore I specially focus on the young generation mind sets and the affect of media on them. We all aware of the fact that the mind of a child is just like a blank paper and you can draw or develop any kind of image positive or negative very easily through learning, teaching and proper guidance.
The first thing is to know about the media that what is media and how we are consuming media in our thinking and opinions.
WHAT IS MEDIA
There are varieties of definitions to describe media but according to business directory media is defines in following lines
Communication channels through which news, entertainment, education, data, or promotional messages are disseminated.
Media includes every broadcasting and narrowcasting medium such as newspapers, magazines, TV, radio, billboards, direct mail, telephone, fax, and internet.
Media is the plural of medium and can take a plural or singular verb, depending on the sense intended.

“Media” refers to various means of communication. For example, television, radio, and the newspaper are different types of media. The term can also be used as a collective noun for the press or news reporting agencies. In the computer world, “media” is also used as a collective noun, but refers to different types of data storage options.
In dictionary the meaning of “MEDIA” is given as an “intermediate layer” which is fully justify in term of mass communication as media is working as an intermediate layer between a common people and international affairs. The affect of any international political or non political activity directly influence on the common masses of the world rather they are interested or not in the international politics.
Depending in the circumstances, mass media can influence peoples beliefs, opinions, and attitudes, and change their thinking about public issue and especially political issues and preferences. Media can have a positive effect on us. And it can also influence us negatively.
Media gives us the chance to enrich and educate ourselves. For example, we can read articles in some news papers about prehistoric ages, or even, we can read a certain book in order to a culture ourselves. Therefore, media is a useful form of communication with which a person can be guided more and can turn into a better someone. In fact, media let us be informed about new products, issues or even services that we already ignore or we vaguely know about.
Now I move to other point that is how our young generation and teenager are consuming media.
How Teenagers Consume Media
Radio
Most teenagers nowadays are not regular listeners to radio. They may occasionally tune in, but they do not try to listen to a program specifically. The main reason teenagers listen to the radio is for music, but now with online sites streaming music for free they do not bother, as services such as last.fm do this advert free, and users can choose the songs they want instead of listening to what the radio presenter/DJ chooses.
Television
Most teenagers watch television, but usually there are points in the year where they watch more than average. This is due to programs coming on in seasons, so they will watch a particular show at a certain time for a number of weeks (as long as it lasts) but then they may watch no television for weeks after the
Program has ended. Teenage boys (generally) watch more TV when it is the football season, often watching two games and related shows a week (totaling about 5 hours of viewing). A portion of teenagers watches programs that are regular (such as soap operas) at least five times a week for half an hour or so but this portion is shrinking, as it is hard to find the time each day.
Teenagers are also watching less television because of services such as BBC iplayer, which allows them to watch shows when they want. Whilst watching TV, adverts come on quite regularly (18 minutes of every hour) and teenagers do not want to watch these, so they switch to another channel, or do Something else whilst the adverts run. The majority of teenagers I speak to have Virgin Media as their Provider, citing lower costs but similar content of sky. A fraction of teenagers have free view but these people are light users of TV (they watch about 1 ½ hours per week) so they do not require the hundreds of channels that other providers offer.
Newspapers
No or very few teenager that I know of regularly reads a newspaper, as most do not have the time and cannot be bothered to read pages and pages of text while they could watch the news
summarized on the internet or on TV. The only newspapers that are read are tabloids and free sheets mainly because of cost; teenagers are very reluctant to pay for a newspaper. Another reason why mainly tabloids are read is that their compact size allows them to be
read easily, on a bus or train.
Gaming
Whilst the stereotypical view of gamers is teenage boys, the emergence of the Wii onto the market has created a plethora of girl gamers and younger (6+) gamers. The most common
