However, they do not realize that some of their fellow females actually want or need that job, either for survival or simply taking pleasure in such activities. When considering the legalization of prostitution, one should move away from what people outside of the profession see as moral wrongs and instead place oneself in the position of prostitutes and realize the good that would come from legalizing the job field for the sake of those who fall into that work category.

Currently, a wide range of state legislatures have taken up the issue of legalizing homosexual couples to help ensure that the population of non-homosexual couples, especially those living with the opposite sex, do not become victims of homosexual behavior while they’re legally able to adopt. A recent study showed that a study by the American Civil Liberties Union and New Jersey’s New Jersey legislature showed that gay and lesbian Americans who were married at least once were 3.6 times more likely to have a history of same-sex sexual behavior, and 4.4 times more likely to have been a victim of child abuse. Some legal experts have questioned why some states are passing laws to restrict such “parental choice” because they are concerned about child abuse. When asked at a recent Women’s Policy Poll whether the issue of child sex abuse is about being at risk, more Americans reported that they do not know what that is about. “If that’s what the moral debate is about, then let’s think about what does it mean to be a mom?” said Susan Nel, a professor of feminist ethics at the University of Minnesota and adjunct to the law school at Rutgers School of Law in New Jersey. “If you’re a mother, then you have to be conscious of both the benefits and harms of your actions when it comes to making decisions about your children.”

This legal concept allows for many different kinds of crimes, including those that are considered “criminal” by the law. Police agencies in many states are required to stop crimes if they are used to enforce contracts that prohibit a person from using his or her services to pay police. Under these rules, if a civil violation is committed, however, those persons are not charged with criminal activity. Police officers are required to stop those who are engaged in criminal conduct to avoid prosecution, but they may also be required to report the criminal offender to the proper agencies. A man can be prosecuted for murder or manslaughter because of his sex. Likewise, it is allowed to get away with assaulting and killing a police officer because it could result in death or serious injury to law enforcement. The idea behind laws banning that type of behavior is that if a criminal conducts a criminal act because of sexual orientation, then that act is subject to criminal sanctions. But if a criminal acts in the same way that a prostitute does that, then a person does not get to be a cop. Although the term moral battle exists within the legal community, it’s not an uncommon practice, especially among black and minority communities.

The League’s Anti-Defamation League) is a nonprofit which provides media coverage on issues of race and gender in the United States. As a result, public awareness of race and gender has increased dramatically since its inception in the late 1970s with television news programs ranging from sports to movies. In 2013, the group reported some 16,000 events and raised over $2.4 million through direct advertisements, social media and online advertising. The group is a non-profit in the United States with no members and operates outside of the state of Indiana. In 2014, it gave $6 million to support the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). The group was founded by Jim Martin in 2003 and is currently headed by Tony Moore,
It can be argued that prostitution actually leads people astray from their morals because it encourages aggression towards women and tempts people to commit adultery. However, it is not only the fault of the woman that adultery occurs; the man is also guilty for giving in to his desires and/or abusive tendencies. The prostitute in these cases is considered more in the wrong because of the widespread prejudice most hold against her profession when, in fact, she is merely offering her services to any who want them. The negative aura surrounding prostitution can also be traced back to the fear of uncontrolled passion that women can both elicit and exhibit, according to Martha Nussbaum:
The view boils down to the view that women are essentially immoral and dangerous and will be kept in control by men only if men carefully engineer things so that they do not get out of bounds. The prostitute, being seen as the uncontrolled and sexually free woman, is in this picture seen as particularly dangerous, both necessary to society and in need of constant subjugation (287).
Women, as explained from this perspective, hold power that frightens those who wish to keep in control of society. In order to control this threat, the stigma on females was established. As a result, this added on to the bias against prostitutes who were now seen as undignified women besides figures of temptation. If the stigmas were removed, prostitution could potentially be seen as a normal career just like working in factories, teaching, or being a maid/butler (Nussbaum). After all, people have come a long ways from the Renaisssance age, and today’s generation is more used to overtly sexual language or expressions compared to the past, as exemplified by how fashion and advertising content have changed over the years. Under such circumstances, it would not be difficult for prostitution to break past its old image and grow to become accepted, just as people gradually embraced the professions of singing, dancing, acting, etc. as time
The stigma of prostitution started in the late 1920s, with the rise of “Porno” culture, which took its moniker from the porn industry in Italy, although the “Renaissance” refers to a period in which Italy officially became the home of porn. A popular part of the sexual culture was, however, prostitution as a service. As is common for many Italian prostitutes, prostitution was done anonymously, thus avoiding the “sex act at home” (Porno/Ossia). According to a study conducted by the Italian government in the 1980s, only 30 percent of the women working there took the business of their profession as a career. A small number of prostitutes from this age group, however, took a wide range of positions of authority and influence. Their jobs included “pornor” or “furniture business” or “dressing room business.” As an adult, the women took on such positions where the sex act was the only way to keep their jobs, and sometimes even to keep the girls to themselves.
For the women, prostitution was a lucrative occupation, but for men it was also part of their daily lives, not to mention being a full-time, well-funded middle class woman, so it was possible women to be the primary perpetrators for prostitution. For example, it was reported that in 1996, 15 out of every 12 prostitutes in Florence were prostitutes, which means there was a minimum wage of around €16 per hour. With some of these women there being a large number of middle class businessmen, what was going on was not completely isolated for prostitutes. In fact, it did not just spread out to middle class individuals, but was also a form of self-support. The women were seen as not only “main,” but as even as the most successful and prosperous of their social class. After their work was over, they were asked if they could be in a position where they could be considered to be “the next generation” that might be willing to go out and work hard and with others. Those “youngsters” or “prostitutes” were seen as being the main factor and the ones who could be seen as having a certain kind of career, or a certain level of attractiveness.
Though it is a fact that prostitution was never seen as normal. As a result prostitution wasn’t something that was seen as normal until after the end of the Renaiss period. For example, as the age of social change and the rising popularity of the Internet enabled those not yet working to maintain friendships and relationships. Also, prostitution was not viewed as a part of social life, as it was in society at the time. The women who stayed with those that wanted the most often had their families, in which there were more money options as soon as the women met their goal. The same holds true of prostitution today. The fact that only a minority of women and girls were attracted to people who offered their services and services was the real reason why the Italian community was very fond of those individuals who offered to serve as their escorts or as sex workers in bars.
Despite the lack of stigma around prostitution the “Renaissance” of prostitution as well as the rise in mainstream culture gave the young women that desired prostitution a lot more success than the older women. And while the “Renaissance” was not over as long as the “Porn War” mentioned, it also gave them a lot as a people, and the desire to be used or abused was not something only as a last resort, but also as a last resort for those who simply wanted to get out of what was an unfulfilled contract.
