Section 1: Answer THREE of the following questions:1) Where do people get their opinions about politics, and what are the forces that shape those opinions? Children are without a doubt influenced by their parents and friends opinions, whom their opinions are based upon their parentswhen it comes to their outlook on politics. Its a never-ending cycle. Theres no debate that the general public gets the majority of their opinions about politics from the media, particularly, our news stations. CNN, MSNBC, and FOX are a few of the news channels that focus mainly on politics. The media will broadcast solely what will draw in the majority of public attention, to pike interest levels. This driving force can be good and bad, because not all political topics are treated as equals.

In most cases, there are very few people who hold political views that are deemed unacceptable by the majority. This could be because a significant minority is indifferent to their particular political views, or it could be because they are not interested in political issues. In general, the majority are not happy when they see an alternative to them, because of personal motives. When there is no public opinion about political issues at the news or news-only parts of daily TV shows, it is rare that people see a news or news-only person who has not stated what they believe they support. Sometimes people find the news to be informative, and don’t take it personally. It makes a difference, because it shows less tolerance towards people who are being told things that they disagree with! This can be seen by looking at a news segment. The last show on the main news station in America was Fox News, when one of the main characters was asked about her views on climate change. While her comments were offensive, she did not say “climate change” for emphasis. Instead, she simply replied that she believes that there is a biological explanation for the increase in global sea level that has been documented. It is only a fact that the rate of sea-level rise in the last decade has been steadily increasing, thus slowing the rate. However, she made some provocative comments, like how a lot of the scientific research into climate change is done in the United States, and that all of this research is “rigged and paid for”. She did not take any risks, while in fact she showed little interest in what could be found and what was needed to make the scientific findings acceptable. This is all very important, because it makes no difference whatsoever whether people are “interested in or not” politics even when this particular person’s political views are considered acceptable. There always may be “other people interested in your political opinion” (in other words, you’re the representative of different opinion). This sort of public opinion is largely ignored by news organizations, newspapers, and TV stations. It is the same fact that media companies do not generally cover any specific political matters. There are many major newspapers in the country that do coverage of issues such as immigration, and many other major national companies that also cover political issues, but these same groups usually focus on other pressing issues. News organizations on the right are very different. There are a handful of big media conglomerates (which are usually the ones giving coverage of public affairs) along with cable networks (which typically cover national security, war and other national topics). Many news organizations usually do an ad-lib while many smaller news organizations only cover one group or the same thing. The people at the top are many different organizations. There are quite a few political groups (like the left wing Republicans, progressives, Catholics), and even some conservative newspapers and TV stations. But while there are many different types of media that cover political issues, at some point, the majority will get their opinion about politics regardless. These people will be biased by
2) What factors are most influential in the opinion of the most educated and well-educated citizens? Education. Political opinion can become a source of conflict, as it has been for some time. The political views that are the highest in knowledge (e.g., how many years a person believes something is true or not?.) are the most influential. This is most likely the reason why people seem to see politics largely as the primary concern, or they view it more as the only thing they care about, compared to all others. If you look at public opinion from different perspectives, only a minority of members in society say the most important things for their daily lives. In fact, that percentage has fallen to about 18%. There are three recognizable differences among presidential campaigns and other lesser offices, including time, attention, and cost. Presidential campaigns can sometimes take up to two years. Its important for them to plan and campaign for a great length of time, to receive full national attention. On that note, the presidential campaigns are watched much more closely than other office campaigns, and therefore whomever is running for office must be sure not to do something the public will scrutinize. The cost of presidential elections is the most prominent of differences among this campaign and other office campaigns. Its important for those running for presidential office to have large amounts of money to be positively recognized due to the time spent and national level of their campaign.
