Working together with 3RT gives us aa striking opportunity to rework our iconic blue pallets by using sustainable wood. Using eco-friendly paint would be another example of our efforts towards a better environment. Our RFID tracking system is already well known for its usage in our pallets. Now we want to use that same method for containers. This means that we will be building containers completely made of wood instead of just creating wooden flooring.
For the private sector we will mainly deliver our products to warehouses, distributors and retailers. Also working together with the government is something we would like to do in the future. Our main revenue streams will be created by using renting fees, trading terms and fixed prices. We will also offer extra services like discounts for large volumes, insurance, shared economics and so on.This way we hope to create positive customer relationships on a long-term basis. Furthermore, we would like to offer some non-revenue services such as personal assistance, personal contact and public biddings.Communication is an important part of the system. Thus, we will use the best channels we have at hand in order to create an extraordinary experience. This goes from having a user-friendly website to organizing group meetings. Things like face-to-face contact and group deliveries are an important part of our ideology. The Value PropositionPallets One of our value propositions regarding our pallets, will be to quadruple the usage lifetime by using hardwood. This will be made possible through nanotechnology used by 3RT. 3RT offers an unique program whereby you can select any type of wood and personalize it in the kind of wood you desire. [pic 2]Another value proposition we want offer our clients, will be losing less pallets by using radio frequency. This will work in both ways. One way, it will benefit the costumers because they won’t have to pay the reimbursement fee. On the other hand, CHEP’s will receive benefits from it. It will lose track of less pallets, thus has to reproduce less to make up for the loss. One current value proposition that we wish to change in the nearby future, will be the blue paint that is currently used. We want to offer our customers a sustainable brand, although it’s contradictory currently due to the blue paint we are using. We would like to transfer this in a more sustainable solution by partnering up with eco-friendly paint supplier such as Earthborn. Containers [pic 3]At present, the containers are made out of metal or plastic. Our aspiration for the future is to transfer those into 3RT designed wooden containers. The main reason why we wish to do this, is because of our tracking system. The biggest concern we’re having with it presently, is that it loses track of many of our pallets because the signal can’t get through the metal or plastic surface. When using wooden containers, durability, water resistant and sustainability are some new values we can offer to our customers. We can offer durability due to the system that 3RT offers. Through integration of hardwood, our pallets will offer a longer life-time usage period. Hardwood is known to be denser due to its consistency. Another distinction of hardwood, is it strength which is caused by the density as well. Water resistance is another important characteristic that we want to add in our containers. We want to go beyond this by making them resistant against sun rays too. We think it will offer superior value in comparison with competitors.
