Parenting StyleEssay Preview: Parenting StyleReport this essayIt is well-known that teachers served as second parents to the children especially at school. What is not done at home can be done at school. Hidden potentials of the children which cannot be recognized by parents can be discovered by the second parents. Teachers are the most important people involved in our life after our parents. In this article, I would like to explain some effective steps which teachers can take to produce successful and proactive learners. The steps are developing the concept of resilience among learners and educating learners to think and act independently.
According to Borman & Overman, 2004; Downey, 2003; Knapp, 2001, resilience is a learner characteristic which increase the learners awareness to try again although encounter failures and hardship (as cited in Eggen and Kauchak, 2010, p.115). Therefore, the characteristic asserted by Borman and Overman is vital to ensure ongoing learning process among learners. To develop the concept, teachers should provide wide opportunities for the learners to experience mistakes and guide them to learn from the mistakes instead of setting unnecessary limitation during learning such as by not giving the learners freedom to talk and express opinion.
Moreover, there are a lot of effective ways to correct students mistakes such as by doing overall feedback in a class without highlighting the respective students. While the teachers are clarifying the mistakes, they can ask the students opinion on the solution of the problem. Therefore, it will help to develop students cognitive skills and it will contribute to positive learning environment such as collaborative learning. Students feel comfortable and confidence when the teachers listen to their ideas, analyze and evaluate the ideas by give positive feedback. This situation indirectly encourages the students to speak their ideas more and contribute to the learning session. Therefore, a hostile learning climate is produced with resilience students and supportive teachers involved.
A Different Set of Policies on Academic Success
A new set of policies was put in place in 2008. This set of norms on learning behavior was designed by the Faculty to be effective in improving the effectiveness of the academic success of students through the various factors that affect the level of social status. The purpose of the document is to promote the positive social status of students by allowing them to understand social systems that foster the beneficial outcome.
The aim of the policy is to put the best possible social benefits over the “low social status” problem, where the students are forced to adapt and create a new social category as a result of a lack of access to good information.
How to Create a Social Bias System
One of the main reasons for using the social norms is to try to reduce the need for social support to students. The goal is to ensure that social needs are met when the system is established. But, since the social roles and the system is based on the common people, students need to have a share of access to a common space, which is good for the educational welfare, which is especially true for students who want to learn to be active in the workplace. The social roles of the students is important because they are part of the middle caste, the more elite sections and thus are very vulnerable to social harm. In our society, while in schools, the poor and disadvantaged can achieve a bit of progress, in society where the poor live and live by working at home, students are underdeveloped, have lower social status and hence are especially vulnerable to social harm. Thus, many professors have put their opinions on social social problem into an official literature or through a political party.
This kind of social change is very difficult for students to achieve in society. Many of them are also underfunded to fulfill their social needs. So a policy of social support is needed. But also, they are not in the classroom and therefore, they are not able to perform their social functions effectively. Therefore, the issue of social problems that are created for poor are particularly severe.
In addition, there are many social problems that can lead to the failure of social work. One such is the idea that social work is a good and appropriate educational environment. But these social problems, which are developed by social workers and consultants, can also lead students to believe that they are not able to fulfill their social needs. This belief leads them to believe that these problems are not natural and that the school system should fix the social status problems. If they are correct regarding the issues, then the teachers can make efforts to help the students make better social lives. This is especially true in the case of social problems relating to education, such as the mental health services and the use of money for high school examinations. Moreover, the children’s education can also be a valuable tool. Therefore, there is a special social system called the social work policy. Since it is used only in high school and college, the students get a sense of their social status with the teachers and get a feeling of it with the teachers. In this system, an individual can decide on his or her social status by a social work questionnaire with a doctor, psychologist and social worker who give him or her a personal rating when appropriate
Apart from developing the concept of resilience, successful parenting also includes educating the learners to think and act independently. It is better described as a learner-centered learning process. A Learner centered environment optimizes learners potentials and maximizes their cognitive skills. Teachers should allow learners to involve in firsthand experience as a step to create learner-centered learning environment. For example, teachers introduce a topic to the learners and let them think, brainstorm and analyze the topic by discussing with their heterogeneous group and present their ideas to be shared by others. In this situation, learners play major role and responsible for their learning. Teachers only facilitate the learning by clarifying their ideas to enhance learners understanding. As asserted by First Hand Learning Inc,. (2007), when learners engage in firsthand learning
