PROPOSAL LETTER
Dear Mrs. Cynthia Cooper
It was a pleasure meeting with you. Following upon our conversation from May of 2010 on how we will take a look at your operations and evaluate them to see how is the managements performance along with the conformity to policies and procedures. This proposal letter serves to clarify what we have learned from WorldCom, what improvements we can suggest at first glance, how long the review is expected to last, how much it will cost and what you can expect from our team in terms of scope, findings and recommendations.
Background
WorldCom is a major telecommunications company providing long distance and telecommunications services all throughout the world. As WorldCom has grown by acquiring other companies to meet demand, their lack of planning and vision has forced them into having more infrastructure than the expected demand. Another disadvantage of rapid growth is that it is hard to exercise proper control over the new branches of the company. Also, by leasing higher faster telecommunication lines, the cash flow gets tied up longer since the demand has not been able to justify the higher costs.
