GLOBAL HANDWASHING
Global Handwashing

The “Global Handwashing” was celebrated every 5th day of October. Many countries joined the said activity. In our school it was the first time we participated the worldwide activity. But even if we were first timer globally but we did it everyday because we gave importance to that matter. Every classroom had constructed a double purpose sink, for handwashing and for toothbrushing. With the facilities that we built, the barangay officials gave their support in terms of free water use. The school has no obligation for the consumption. The Provincial Government also gave their support and supply through the “Essential Health Care Program”. Aside from the Poly Paste and toothbrush they also provided us with soap that would be use for handwashing. Eventhough the supply won’t last for the whole year round we were thankful because the government had care for the little children in our province. So, with the minimal supply that we’ve got we used our own initiatives, we solicited in kind to the wholehearted individuals to gave us the needed and lacking materials. Moreover we were not disappointed with what we want, they gave us but it was headed with our GPTCA President.
After the flag ceremony we teachers showed or modeled to the pupils on what were the right steps in doing it. Then we agreed to ring the bell at 8:00 in the morning to do the activity simultaneously but by group because of the faucet availability. The pupils were very happy doing it because its in the children’s instinct they enjoy playing with water. Until the last child performed
