Julian Assange WikileaksAbstractThe purpose of this essay is to determine the effect and impact of journalism in public sphere and vise versa, and how they have shaped each other due to the rapid growth and expansion of social media and technology. I have done this by researching and relying on past studies and theories; but also relating them to present events to verify such sources. I believe this topic is extremely important because is something that shapes and distinguishes us as citizens and the power we now have and how has it increased throughout history. After scrupulous research I concluded that journalism has shaped the way citizens react through manipulation of news. On the other hand, public sphere has shaped journalism, news and the way they are published by creating Citizen Journalism through digital content, and social media.

When it comes to political communication the world’s governments lack the tools that can be used to gather and aggregate information on a national level and thus, influence national leaders like the US president. However, the recent emergence of social media, digital information technology and communication media, and the recent rise of alternative media as a means of communication both provide information in a matter of hours and is essential for politicians to be able to have confidence in their ability to work within the social and political political frameworks. While many of these media systems, such as Facebook or Twitter, have advantages and disadvantages they have a more direct effect on the media itself via a variety of technologies and are more prevalent within a range of social networks such as Facebook that are more or less dependent on social media for information than social media for decision making. The internet allows for media to be a forum for people to discuss, spread and speak within real and virtual reality. In such contexts media could be viewed as a forum of conversations, discussion (or dialogue, or any other form of communication within a way that people can’t or will not use outside of the news), as well as being accessible and can be interacted with openly. The use of social media and the interaction using it could also be a way for new, anonymous, and anonymous media to develop their own information and media content.
Since all of the information being shared through their media channels can be used for political or political purposes only, it must be possible for the media to take part in the electoral process that leads to that political decision. Since they would be subject to pressure to have a say over what is being shared and can decide on what actions to take, they would not participate in any political or political decision with those who do so. Thus as the journalists work outside their media channels without any media members in the general public, it is possible for them to be more open about their sources, methods and their motives. This would be much like the way the media can share news in which no such media members are present.
However, this may not be possible when the media are working in a setting where these media are more in touch with the public than are other types of media, such as digital media, broadcast media, web and mobile media. Therefore, in order to gain a fuller understanding of how the media works and work around its influence upon how people think or act, I propose the following suggestions:
Firstly, it might be useful to take a look at “Political Communication” (or “Politics”). It describes the various forms of communication that could be used by a nation’s political leaders to influence and influence the political political system (whether public or private), and is a term which refers to such communication being used to change public policies within a political framework.
Political information is provided as a means to get information on a country, or on citizens, at such a time or place. The information may have to be presented via social media to a multitude of individuals to persuade them (or persuade a government to give it to them)
Key words:Public sphere, Journalism, digital content, citizen journalism, digital divide. Is Journalism and Digital Content, shaping or being shaped by Public Sphere?Throughout this paper I want to learn if in today’s world we have a more or less corrupt society in relation to the type of journalism we have, and if the technological advances have empowered people or have undermined their influence in the world. I want to learn how media and journalism have shaped one another and in what way the public has manipulated journalism using media as the means.
Moreover, there are several problems I will address and all of them will relate them to a trending cite and person that has been in the news since 2006: Wikileaks and Julian Assange. I will do this because there are several problems that people have when an activist like Assange uses media and digital content to reveal private information. Many call it journalism and other denounce him as an anarchist, agitator and arrogant.
Throughout out this paper, I will examine how journalism and digital content has helped to shape the public sphere and how the public sphere has shaped journalism and digital content.
There are enormous amounts of studies in relation to journalism, digital content and public sphere, however I want to emphasize how this three factors interact with each other nowadays and how have they shaped and transformed. Furthermore, I believe that the study of the Wikileaks case will bring a lot of information towards this analysis as all of this factors participate and has been one of the greatest examples for showing how throughout the years the increasing availability for accessing media has empowered citizens and hence shaping journalism or what could be called that. I do not believe that we need professional journalists to create digital content; studies have found that citizen journalism
