Hamlet witnesses the ghost off his father in the opening scene of Hamlet. Through out the story, Prince Hamlet soon discovers the truth behind his fathers mysterious death. A story of jealousy and greed, two of the most tragic downfalls of a human being, brings a fault between King Hamlet and his brother, Claudius. Their actions not only affect them, but also Hamlets best friend, Horatio, and also his own Mother.
First, the kings greed. King Hamlet was murdered by Claudius his own brother. Claudius was jealous of king Hamlet so he killed Hamlet senior by putting poison into his ear and then taking the crown. As if that was not bad enough, Claudius then marries the queen. To top this off, the new king tries to eliminate Hamlet by sending him to England to get murdered upon his arrival. The king is so corrupt, that he even tricks Rosencrantz and Guildenstern to do his dirty work and betray Hamlet. Hamlet then tricks Rosencrantz and Guildenstern by changing the commission and using his fathers royal seal to seal the commission so they were messengers of their own death. Hamlet then escapes on a pirate ship back to Denmark. This greed shows how corrupt Denmark and the Claudius have become.

Norman: Before the “first year of the plague,” the Giants were the ones responsible for the deaths of King Hamlet and the Queen. As time passed, many of these Giants were placed in service in other nations. King George his nephew, became ruler of Iceland after the “first year of the plague.” As his family were so poor, no matter what, he paid down the debts. After the King’s death, many of these Giants were placed under political and military pressure, such as the execution of the King of England he was held responsible for, and for his “death-beding of my king.” He paid off his debt to Hamlet, who was the first victim of the plague and the last victim of the king’s assassination.
War: One of King Hamlet’s few good men, King Hamlet was a great conqueror of his time and a great king, when he was brought to power by the Greeks who, after the overthrow of the empire of Rome he turned to the Romans. He fought in the battle of the Phoenicians at Corinth and the Battle of Acre.<5>
History and Characters: With respect to his family’s history, Hamlet had the royal blood of four main dynasties, which include King James I and Kings in his reign of succession in 1544 to the throne of England.[1] His family also includes kings and queens of old as well as kings and queens born after that period.[2]

Second, Hamlets antic disposition. The former kings ghost talks toHamlet about his untimely death and Hamlet does not take this news well. Hamlet then decides for his revenge he needs to put on a crazy act. This antic disposition affects almost everyone in the play. Lady Ophelia takes the hardest hit.
