What could your/an employer do to make a job more appealing to attract potential employees with disabilities?
I think that an employer can make a job more appealing to people with disabilities by having a current employee or employees working that have a disability. I think that would make the job more appealing because that person will see that the employer does not discriminate if you do have a disability. I also think that the employers can make sure that they have all the necessary tools to help that individual such as ramps, desks, furniture, lightning, and telephones.
What recruiter characteristics do you most value when you are applying for a job?
The characteristics that I value in a recruiter when applying for a job is professionalism and being knowledgeable in the position that I am applying for. I think that the recruiter should be able to answer your questions regarding the open position and if they don’t have the answer to be honest and tell you that they don’t but will email you or call you once they have the answer. I feel that a recruiter should be personable and easy to talk to because this will help make the conversation less intimidating.
