Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are three religions that seem like three very different religions, but the truth is that they have a lot of connections to each other. All these three religions believe that all human beings are sons and daughters of Adam peace be upon him. Each religion has a book that their followers relate to for guidance and assurance. All the books have specifically talked about the existence of good in this world, as well as evil. They also all stated that humans are the supreme creature on earth. They all have certain rituals of prayers that they follow to show how thankful they are and show reverence to God. For example before having any meal they say a short prayer thanking God for their health, ability, and wealth to eat. These three religions believe that God has put a test for the people, and gave them minds to think, to make decisions to go on a path that will eventually lead them to heaven or hell in the afterlife.
The Holy Book of Torah is the book of the Jewish people. The book consists of about six hundred and thirteen commandments that was passed down to their people by Moses peace be upon him. The prayers of Judaism should be practiced every day, their prayers are called Tefilah. Some of their texts are not clear the first time it is read. Saturdays are considered to be the Holy day of the week where they go to the temple to worship god. They have a special ritual before they slaughter their cattle for food, they say a short prayer and then use a knife to kill it from the neck in one fast motion making sure it does not suffer, dying instantly.
Christianity is the largest religion in the world, in terms of their followers. They follow their book, which is the Bible passed down to Jesus peace be upon him, who they believe is the son of God. They also believe that Jesus was originally Jewish. They do not have specific prayers at a specific time like Islam or Judaism. In Christianity they go to the church to gather and pray, Sundays is considered a holiday day for the Christians going to the church.
The Holy Quran is the sacred book for the Muslims that they live by for guidance and assurance that was passed down to the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. In Islam it is an obligation to follow the five pillars of Islam, which are the declaration of faith “There is none worthy of worship except God and Muhammad is the messenger of God.” Pray daily for five specific times throughout the day. The financial obligation for Muslims is that everything belongs to God, we hold wealth for God in trust, and everyone is subjected to the donation of part of their wealth. Muslims must fast during the holy month of Ramadan every year in the Islamic calendar. Finally pilgrimage, every Muslim who is financially and physically capable is expected to the pilgrimage to Mecca.
