Introduction:
The article “Jana needs to lift her game”, Robin Reily, published in the Sunday Herald on the 19th of March 2006, displays the writers opinion on Jana Pittman and the way in which she is performing in front of the media. Robin Reily uses a bias and yet confrontational tone in order to display the author’s opinion towards this issue. Robin Reily uses a number of persuasive techniques in order to persuade the audience. These techniques include evidence, examples, questioning the audience, using personal terms and talking directly to Jana.
