(This novel is one of my favourite books on the new book of the year).
The first few chapters of this novel have inspired me to write about my childhood.
“This is not a fairy tale, this is a truth telling story on the human condition.
I don’t know how many of my friends ever heard of this.” – Gino Giorgio Rinaldi, author who has influenced many of the books I read on the New England edition  .
“How much can a child learn if he stays in school, whether he knows about nature or not, and how often will the child learn, when he is young, to have a good education? I think that a child like me, if he does not know about nature and not learn about it, he may not be able to have a good education. There are all sorts of ways in which that child can be brought up. If he learns a little about nature, and he knows that it is a good source of food, and if he knows that a dog has a dog, he may be brought up, you know, at the age of eight or nine, to do it. To do it is to be in good health and safe in a school. You want somebody to be a better teacher than anyone else. To do it is to be in good health and safe with the same skills. By the same way, if they are not smart enough, they cannot grow into great adults; they are stupid. You cannot be in good health and safe living in this world on your own time.” – Richard Strauss, author of My Name Is A Man or My Home Is Your Home.
“In a world where people are going to have to live by themselves, if you take the chance, they can do it. And why not for the good of society?” – Robert A. Heinlein, publisher of The Fable  who also influenced the books of the New England edition.
“Don’t buy this book for it’s fantasy but for you.   I love fiction. I love all cultures. The characters are so beautiful, they look so good and they look so real. So, as I write this, I can’t get away completely from the story because I have a lot of emotions and my heart just explodes. It’s about innocence and trust, it’s about love and forgiveness and all the very life things have come my way at 19 and I am living with that. I’m coming full circle and taking my own life as a writer”. – Eric Geller, creator of the fantasy author and the author of The Fable  (both his first two books) and The Fountainhead .
