Vodafone’s marketing first aim in Romania is to retain market leadership on revenue per customer, network quality and customer satisfaction. Also one of their key goals is to recover the first place in terms of number of users and revenue. Vodafone’s strategy is customer focused and product led; the company is continually developing new products and services which utilize the latest technological advances. However, as consumers become increasingly sophisticated users of modern mobile technology, they make new demands and seek added value through product improvements. Vodafone must feed this back into its product strategy.
Vodafone’s goal is to grow its revenue and improve its profit margin by adding value to its products and services thus earning more from each product sold. The �Vodafone live!’ service enables customers to use picture messaging and to download polyphonic ring tones, colour, games, images and information, through an icon-driven menu. Another service is the Vodafone Mobile Connect Card, which enables customers to access their normal business applications on a laptop when out of the office. Such services add value to the product, and high profile effective promotion will help sell these services to existing and new customers.
