Organized ChaosOrganized ChaosAfter all of the school shootings in the past, and all of the young lives that have been lost, The Independent School District of Burleson, Texas is the first country to try and prevent a gunman entering a school and killing it’s students by a program called Organized Chaos. Organized Chaos is very simple, but in my opinion it could have many negative repercussions. When a gunman enters the classroom and has his weapon drawn the children are taught by the program to act like a pack of wild animals; they are told to start screaming and running around , throwing desks, chairs, books, and staplers. etc. anything that would confuse the gunman so he won’t have the ability to shoot right away. If the gunman does shoot, and someone gets killed, yes it is only one life and is better than all the children being killed, but an innocent child is still killed from school violence. The gunman is outnumbered, but by small children and the gunman has the more effective weapon. If there was more than one gunman, children would still die. The gunman may be more likely to get aggravated and start shooting more at whatever comes in front of him first if the children act unruly and start attacking the gunman. If the children saw the weapon and the attacker they may be too frightened to move, and if a few children didn’t move and others did, the child not moving would be an easy target and lives would still be lost and the plan wouldn’t have worked.

There are other forms of security that can prevent school tragedies such as Columbine and the Lancaster shootings from happening. If a student plans on shooting others, how would anyone know? If they used metal detectors on all doors of the school buildings then the child or individual entering the school building wouldn’t be able to bring in a weapon into the school. It may be a hassle to check every child that the metal detector goes off for but if it may save lives it could be worth it. In Philadelphia last week a young girl brought a gun into school, when she confronted her teacher she said she brought it because she was afraid to walk without her brother home from school. It may have been an innocent mistake, but what if someone were to grab that gun away from her and use it? It could have been one of many

Parks Minister Tim Flanagan urged parents of students to come out and be open about their guns and their safety and to talk about safety and the dangers of firearms to all of them.

“I am encouraging families of students who are out there with an adult about the safety of their guns. They should know they are going to lose their lives if they are not safe,” he said in an address to parents at her government residence here.

The Minister said students should be prepared for possible threats if the teachers, teachers and counselors they are using to protect them do not respond to their calls or social media messages.

The Prime Minister also made comments about student safety, saying it is essential to talk to parents to protect their children, who are vulnerable.

“There is an all-out effort … to make sure schools are safe,” he said, “so they have the tools — the tools to stop people with dangerous intentions if a parent or their student thinks he or she is just a threat.”

The Prime Minister made no mention of gun owners or the dangers people who carry such items, although he said it is a concern of others at schools.

“The threat posed by guns is extremely serious and should be handled in the strongest possible manner,” he said.

This summer, a group of parents of two children killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut left flowers and a note apologizing for everything to the school shooting victims, who they believed came from gun owners.

That same year the New York Police Department announced it would be working with state and local law enforcement to ensure guns made from real “laser weapons” are safe when carrying them.

According to the New York City Police Department, the shooter had no visible signs of injury and is believed to have been wearing white protective gear, a top coat and the same clothes as the Sandy Hook victims that he had.

The Newtown shooting took place in August 2013. Over 200 people — more than 90 per cent of whom knew the gunman personally — were killed.

There was also a similar incident at the New York City Marathon in April, where 12 to 14 people were killed, including 14 people at a Brooklyn club and six at a Queens concert venue.

Gun control legislation could put even more police on the streets.

For the first time since 1996, a National School Lunch Program for New Jersey children was established, which is aimed at encouraging young people who are not familiar with guns to ask parents, school administrators and teachers to educate them that guns are deadly and their ability to stay away helps keep them safe.

The Program is currently operated by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention with the mandate of keeping guns off school property.

A 2013 survey by the Center for Policy Integrity found that 71 per cent of New Jersey schoolchildren said they didn’t need their parents’ permission to allow their children to buy the banned toys from store shelves or be part of the school lunch program. Only 29 per cent of young adults surveyed said they agreed teachers should be allowed the right to buy the toy.
