What are steps in the scientific method of inquiry or research process, and why must each of these steps be included to support the scientific method. A method of discovering knowledge about the natural world based on making falsifiable predictions (hypotheses), testing them empirically, and developing peer-reviewed theories that best explain the known data (“Psychology and The Scientific Method”, 2016). What is the Scientific MethodThe Scientific Method by definition is a process used to evaluate and analyze any given problem or question when having to get a getting an answer in return. For many years, it has been used to help anyone with a question involving science or research. The scientific method uses measurement to analyze results, supporting these findings back into theories. There are many ways of collecting data, through analysis and observation. It can be explained as a way to come to a hypothesis, theory, and observation. The scientific method has steps in order to help you succeed in your experiment or if one is simply explaining research of their own. The Method is to analyze your finding.
One step in the Scientific Method is to figure out and state your problem. To do this, you need to find something you are looking to locate the answer too, find a question you want to find the answer too. Then, state your question/problem carefully. Once you have found your point of confusion or just simply what you want to learn, you move on to the next step. Another step is in the process is to gather information. Gathering information helps make the experiment make sense and add up. It also gives you a clue on what you are demonstrating. Ways you could gather information is by researching your topic. Another way you could gather information is by asking people you know. This information can help greatly with creating a hypothesis, which is also the next step. The other step is forming a hypothesis. A hypothesis is a guess on the outcome of the experiment or problem. A good way to start off a hypothesis is to review the information you gathered from the previous step. This information will help guide you on creating a hypothesis. This should help you answer your original question. The next step is testing out your hypothesis. Your main goal in this exercise whether your hypothesis was right.
