I have included my questions, and goals as specified in the assignment instructions for this first week. I have also included in this document how important the study of English Literature is. Lastly, I have concluded with a few of my beliefs and the relevance of English Literature in our ever changing world of technology. For my second entry in this scrape book I have detailed information about Jane Austen’s work and a brief analysis of “Pride and Prejudice”. I have included the literary connection, modern connection, and my personal connection to this story. This document contains my third scrape book entry which is details related to, Jonathan Swift the famous author of Gulliver’s Travels. My third entry includes the literary connection, modern connection, and my personal connection to Jonathan Swift’s outstanding work. Also included in this document is my fourth entry, which describes in detail the literary, modern, and personal connections to Daniel Defoe and his work which includes “Robinson Crusoe”.  My fifth scrape book entry is details about the literary, modern, and personal connections to Shakespeare and his amazing work titled “Othello”. My sixth entry includes my thoughts on John Milton’s “Paradise Lost“, included are the literary, modern, and personal connections to this poem. My seventh entry gives details from the wonderful work of James Joyce’s story of Eveline, and T. S. Eliot’s poem titled “The Love Song of Alfred Prufrock”, I have also included their literary, modern, and personal connections. My eighth journal entry includes the literary, modern, and personal connection to Groffrey Chaucer and his amazing work titled “Canterbury Tales”. Finally I have included my concluding thoughts on my journey over the past eight weeks in English Literature. I have detailed my final thoughts on this journey, and it’s relevancy here and now. Introduction to Scrape Book        Wow! What a wonderful adventure awaits me as I delve into the exciting  subject of English Literature. I have so much to learn such as exploring places that I have never been to before. I am excited and thrilled to start this journey. I don’t anticipate any problems along my way. I am not quiet clear about the subject matter that I may be analyzing. I am always eager to learn and love to read. There is nothing better than a great book, whether it be drama, comedy, a novel, play, short story, or a poem. I am ready to jump right in and find myself on a peaceful plain or roaring mountain. Whether we read about Middle Earth, future space travel or read about current events, English Literature comes in many form. My journey through English Literature has just begun. Get ready get set and lets go!
