General Motors mission and vision is to design, build and sell vehicles that everyone will love and call them the best vehicle ever. GM leadership teams are proud to say that they thrive to deliver the best vehicles with no quality flaws, vehicles that are reliable, safe to operate, good on fuel and offer top of the line luxury enhancements. GM has been around for a long period of time dating back to as early as 1897. Many people have traveled across the Universe in General Motors vehicles.
Strengths
The strengths of General Motors are that it is well known for the brands of vehicle that have been produced. GM manufactures and produces a line of reliable vehicles such as:
Buick
Cadillac
ChBaojun
evrolet
Holden
Jiefang
OnStar
Vauxhall
Wuling
These vehicles are depended on by many people not only in the US but worldwide. General Motors manufactures and produces vehicles internationally in countries such as “Poland, Russia, South Africa, Ecuador, Egypt, Germany, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Columbia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Thailand and even Viet Nam. There are also 55 other countries that assemble, manufacture, distribute and store GM vehicles in their warehouses.
Weaknesses
The weaknesses of GM are due to the closing of factories and facilities have toppled over the last decade. Franchisers are not being renewed with new agreements or contracts with over one fourth of the US dealers. “As of December 31, 2008, GM had 715 dealerships in Canada, as recent as May of 2009 plans called for anywhere from 40 to 200 closures”.
“Insufficient Liquidity” Reports show that more than 27 billion losses were claimed
