Abstract
Doing business in International countries is necessary for the United States to flourish. We use trading, exportation and importation to flourish our business. It also creates relationships in order for this process to flow smoothly. We make sure that business ethics are practiced to safeguard against any wrongdoings of issues that are regarded such as the safety, company policies and financial regulations along with its employees is concerned.
One of the reasons Canada appeals to me is because of its high regard to educate their people. More than half of Canadians between the ages of 25 to 35 have a post secondary education either at a university, college or technical school. (IMD World Competiveness Yearbook, 2006) Their educational level achievement is extremely high and it produces vast amounts of intelligent individuals. Not only do their citizens enjoy the comfort of know they will be educated well, this will appeal to their extended families and immigrants as well. At least 45% of the immigrants have completed university training and were able to secure a trade certificate or diploma. (
This will allow a new company to come into Canada and employ high quality personnel.
Now on the economic side they have low inflation, low interest rates and low unemployment rates as well. (
What type of Business?
Senior Care would be the business that I choose to begin in Canada. There is a huge market now for senior care in the United States and I am sure it also exists in Canada. There are individuals that are aged from 65 to 74. That will double from 23.3 million to 4.5 million over the next two decades. (
This is an area of health care that will continue throughout our lifetime. There will always be a need to care for elderly individuals. This is an ongoing business that can be tailored to fit an individuals needs. In home care could be made available along with in-home services. These services could be made available to include grass cutting, cleaning, and grocery shopping or assisting the individual with their personal needs. It will truly depend upon the need of the consumer. Care will also be provided around the clock. The nurses that will be employed will be trained or be registered nurses that are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for any need.
