“What is Sexuality to You?”
Sexuality to me is something personal, private, and yet at the same time public. As for the personal/private side, I see that as something that I share with my girlfriend Amanda. After 3 ÐÐ years, Ive realized that just when you think youve tried every sensual norm, something fun, new, and exciting comes along. Its almost as if youre on this huge sexual rollercoaster over time. Depending on the situation and whats taking place, you may want to get away and never ride the rollercoaster again, or you may never want to stop riding it. Regardless of the situation, you learn to live and learn to love. Both of which help define who we are and help us to find out what we want in a relationship.
As for the public side of sexuality, I feel thats what you see in magazines, movies, stores, etc. The things you see in everyday live play such a huge part in our lives as sexual beings. If you pick up any random magazine, youll see what society depicts sexuality as, and over time helps to form each individual persons mind about what they want in relationship/partner. Even while watching movies in todays world, you learn lots of things. Anywhere from what “love” should feel like, to how you should express passion in a relationship. There are so many things that you can get ideas or learn from in todays society. The nice thing about that is that with each passing day, someone out there comes up with a new idea to change the way we may have done something before, or come up with something completely off the wall that may catch on quickly over time.
In ending, I feel that sexuality is something that can be a great reward for even the most unlucky. And that with each passing day there is always something more than you can learn if given the chance.
