I selected Shaun Alexanders autobiography because I knew how great of a football player he was. I also wanted to know if he was as good as person as he was a player. I had read a small article about Shaun and it lead me to want to know more of him. I always knew he was a pretty good person from the postgame interviews that I saw, but something that really stood out from his interviews was that he was always thanking god for his accomplishments, and he was also striving to be the best not only on the field but to society. In the small article that I read it had said that he had multiple charities to help young boys and girls across the nation. This article and his post games interviews really lead and influenced me to read Shaun Alexanders autobiography.

Shaun Alexanders autobiographys overview was simply amazing, impactful, and very influential. This book is tells the story of how he got through major problems growing up and how he used football to forget about every problem he ever had. When Shaun was only in the second grade Shaun, his cousin and his brother joined a local peewee team, in the fourth grade Shaun was positioned as a kick returner and surprised everyone by returning two kickoffs. There wasnt any doubt in anyones mind that he was special. As Shaun progressed in football he was bringing excitement to every game he played when Shaun was in the sixth grade he was playing in a fourteen and under league and he caught the eyes of many high schools. When Shaun was young he wasnt the typical teenager that liked to party, get drunk, and go to clubs. He was very laid back and was known to be studying most of the time. Even though Shaun played football and studied for most of his time he always stayed noble and obeyed his moms rules. Big decisions his senior year impacted his life down the line to pursue his football dream. As his time came to go to a university he decided to go to Alabama or as he liked to call it Bama. There he would set multiple school rushing records. As he progressed to be an amazing rusher in the NFL Alexander won the 05-06 league MVP and made it to the Super Bowl but lost against the Pittsburgh Steelers. His Most memorable accomplishment was when he broke the single season touchdown record with 28 in the season. This was the overview of Touchdown Alexander published in 2006 by Harvest House Publishers.
