Dee and Sheila
The character, Dee in “Everyday Use”, and Sheila Mant in “The Bass, The River, and Sheila Mant”, appear, on the surface to have little in common. They hail from completely different backgrounds which shape their life circumstances differently, even as, the two share a consistent number of personality traits, such as self absorptions. Dee and Sheila also have a little bit of differences such as, the background s and family. Dee comes from a very poor family and was raised in the north. Sheila Mant was raised in the north and had a very wealthy family.
The similarities in behavior of Dee and Sheila Mant entail characteristics such as, stubbornness, ignorance and spoiled ness. They are inconsiderate of other people’s feelings and actions toward them. In “The Bass, The River, and Sheila Mant”, Sheila is inconsiderate to the actions of the narrator when he takes her on a date in the canoe. She is also very inconsiderate of his feelings
