Just as a piece of a puzzle, the correlation between social disorganization and the relativeness of organized crime are then compared and contrasted as well as how social disorganization and the development of crime, how do they all tie into one another and who is at fault.What is social disorganization theorySocial disorganization theory is the theory that breaks down the interactions, relations, and structure of social order. Social disorganization is the falling away of control in which socially was obtained. There is also the breakdown of interactions between people and their attitudes towards others. (Social Disorganization) An example would be youth that live in a neighborhood that do not have options for advancement, the social disorganization theory proves that these youths will participate in some form of criminal activities. How does social disorganization relate to organized crime It was believed that social disorganization and organized crime was intertwined and that thought has not changed over time. Social disorganization is simply the loss and failure of organizations in society. This organization could be religious or a school for example, the failure in these types of organizations leads to social disorganization. If we look from a historical perspective we can see that social disorganization has led to organized crime as a consequence of failing organizations in society. (Social Disorganization) How does social disorganization meet the criteria for organized crime Social disorganization meets the criteria of organized crime when our society is lacking public order and disorder because of lack of authority. It then becomes ripened for organized criminal activities. (Criminology)What is the correlation of corrupt political machine, social disorganization and development of organized crime We can see the correlation by understanding what causes organized crime. If we look at the definition of “political machine” we can see that the meaning is it is a small organization that either has a boss or that is a limited members in a group. Political assistance gives hope to organized criminal groups. These political machines can often harbor or help organized criminal groups or terrorists by protecting them or giving them the necessary power.
