However, nowadays they have become more sustaining technology due to the fact that they have already built their customer bases and introduced the main idea of each site and are now only providing add-ons and renovations to the original idea in order to keep it up to date and appealing to the people.Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Ning are all examples of Web 2.0 because they allow collaboration, sharing, and are free to use. They allow User-contributed content and are categorized as social medias where social networking takes place. When it comes to Facebook, it generates its revenue on Advertising fees and bases its e-business model on either C2C or B2C. LinkedIn generates revenue on subscription fees and is also centered on a C2C and B2C model. Myspace generates revenue from Advertising Fees and is mainly centered on C2C model. An open source is any software whose source code is made available free for any third party to review and modify. A business can use it for their social networking platforms in a way to allow accessibility of public resources for all. For example, Mozilla which offers the Firefox Web browser and Thunderbird email software free.The Web 3.0 is the future generation of the web, the Internet more “intelligent”. The future computer will be able to understand and analyze relationships. A start up can take advantage of this new web through different ways such as using the smartphones, laptops, and so on. They can program the machines to better understand questions and relate them to the different information.  There are several challenges facing social networking websites. The first is the technology dependence that builds where people are expected to be constantly connected in order to go through many ordeals in their daily lives. If that connection is cut, then serious consequences may occur and this is a serious issue to people and businesses. Second, there is the Information Vandalism where anyone would be able to edit and change information that would cause damage and vandalize a websites’ content. Therefore, it’s important to have stored versions of a web page, tracking updates and changes to ensure that the site can be restored to its original form in case it was vandalized. It can also color-code the background to ensure that the user understands which areas have been validated and which ones haven’t. The third challenge, is the Violations of Copyright and Plagiarism, where a great deal of copyright information tends to find its way to blogs and wikis and cannot be traces to a single person.
