Social Media and Society
First of all, the type of music a person listens to gives an idea of the type of person he or she is. I believe that people listen to music that somehow relates to them, or it may remind them of a similar situation that they might have went through during their lifetime. For example, if someone lost a friend, family member or even a spouse, that person might begin listening to music that soothes them during their time of grief. Most of the time there is a song that will fit right into a person’s personality for any occasion. The same thing applies to criminals and gangbangers. Basically, no matter who you are, there is a song or music to fit you and your feelings.
Although music and social media are two different things, I feel that they can fit together. They both are used for entertainment and they both can catch your attention. However, social media is more on the entertainment side. For instance, I watched this T.V show called “Catfish” and I noticed on that show people can lie, and pretend to be someone that they are not by creating a fake identity.  The cast met with individuals through social media and help them find people who made up a fake profiles to catch their attention. To me, that is what individuals do on Facebook and Twitter.
