What is Social Policy? Social Policy are a group of public services the government provided to help citizens well-being who are in need. Poverty, poor health, inadequate housing, poor education and unemployment are some of the social policies that the government has focused on. Social policy was developed in mid-20th century as a complement to the social work studies up north. Social policy came from social administration, which are set in place to guide people in human relations or interactions in general.[pic 1]

Having the resources such as Mandatory Healthcare can be a positive influence on social policies supporting both medical and mental health.  Many lives are lost due to the fact of no health coverage. Having affordable health coverage will cut down on the rates of deaths due to health issues. Involvement in these activities to increase the availability of essential health care services in underserved areas. Giving those who are sick an opportunity to live!The Mandatory Healthcare policy is a policy that was put in effect in 2014, it states that everyone with the exception of  those who belong to a religion that is opposed to acceptance of benefits from a health insurance policy, people who are undocumented immigrants, people who are incarcerated. people who are members of an Indian tribe and hose whose family income is below the threshold requiring the filing of a federal tax return ($9,500 for an individual or $19,000 for married filing jointly in 2011), have to have acceptable insurance coverage or they will face a tax penalty on their income taxes  (Suelzer, 2012).
