Life is what you make of it. I do not know the minute mine will end. So, while I am here, with all that I am, I am going to donate all my time and energy to helping my fellow man. I work hard every day to make my life a sacrifice for others.
I consider myself a very humble person. Quite honestly, “me” is my least favorite subject. I have never thought of myself as an interesting or particularly important person. I am just one soul who is here to improve the world to the best of my ability. That is how I see myself. My grandmother always told me to think of others before thinking of myself. She taught me many things. She taught me that we all had something to offer this world, but it was up to us to find out what that “something” was and how to use it to make a difference. She taught me how to be humble in the face of criticisms and selfless when surrounded by egotism and selfishness. She devoted her entire life to charity and social work; she gave meaning to “Do unto others”. She said if you see someone in need, stop what you are doing and help them; you can always find time for you later. It was my duty, as a good person, to help my fellow man when they need it the most. She was a wonderfully wise woman who I model my life after.
When asked, my family has loads of nice things to say about me. I consider them all biased. It turns out that I am loyal to a fault. I will stick by you and hold your hand through the worst of times and I will be your biggest cheerleader during the best of times. No matter the situation, I am here for you. I am frankly honest. Whether you want to hear it or not, I will always tell you the truth; lying never gets you anywhere, except alone and miserable. My sister says that my “check valve” is missing and that is what she loves most about me.
