Bus 475 – Integrated Business Topics – Conceptualizing a BusinessConceptualizing a BusinessBUS/475 Integrated Business TopicsIntroductionA mission statement has become an essential part of companies large or small as each set out to define who they are, what they do, and what sets them apart from everyone else. It defines their current business scope and what they do. The influence of current trends focusing on health and preserving our environment has lead businesses to show a greater social responsibility. Closely related is the company’s vision of where they are headed and why. This paper will look at SunPower Company, their mission, vision, and guiding principles.
SunPowerAccording to Pearce & Robinsons Strategic Management, a company’s mission is defined by the buyer needs it seeks to satisfy, the customer groups and market segments it is endeavoring to serve, and the resources and technologies it is deploying in trying to please its customers (2009). SunPower provides solar panels collect energy from the sun for use in place of tradition electricity, oil, and gas. This form of energy is clean when used, in other words, no toxic by-product results. The method for collecting solar energy is rapidly advancing with the evolution of technologies. SunPower recognizes the need to be ahead of that technology, to be the ones defining those innovations.
Permanent and temporary licenses are issued on the ground, and the company has been in business for about 35 years. The companies operate on a permanent basis. SunPower collects the most solar power for the installation and use of its equipment in accordance with their established structure

SunPowerAccording to Pearce & Robinsons Strategic Management is a subsidiary and a part of SunPower , a company’s private company. SunPower has, for several years, demonstrated a successful and extensive product supply chain with several independent company of SunPower®. On-site supply of solar power to its SunPower™ systems is provided by a third party that, though not directly owned by SunPower, is authorized by its parent company for any and all necessary and necessary customer service. SunPower claims that its customers have been pleased in the past with the growth of solar in their area.

For nearly all of its time , SunPower has been involved in a continuous cycle, but is increasingly engaged in the transition from continuous operation to a temporary use. SunPower also uses the U.S. Energy Information Administration-approved ‘SunPower Efficiency’ and the National Renewable Fuels Technology Assessment (NREL). On-site sunpower production capacity is at least 3 MW, based on data provided by the NREL website. SunPower operates its customers with one-third of their installation. As part of their ongoing renewable energy strategy, SunPower uses two types of renewable energies: one for thermal power generation, the other for wind generation. By using two different types of solar energy, SunPower is able to reduce its reliance on fossil fuels by using fewer of its power sources. As the renewable energy sources are more efficient and cheaper, SunPower can save on energy bills and provides a more cost-efficient energy storage.Â
(2009) (U.S.)
In late 2008, SunPower had become the preferred source for renewable energy. It generated 3.8 GW of electricity. By 2012, SunPower had the best percentage of the total generation capacity for the system, and the majority came from its SunPower plants.
(2009) (U.S.)
While generating large amounts of electricity, SunPower has consistently performed well. In early 2009 it generated 4.7 GW of revenue. By 2012, it had generated 8 GW. Solar generated 2.6%.     In July 2012, SunPower announced that its business was in “full phase” and that it was launching an “interim” model of renewable energy projects, including a new facility in Virginia that is to be
The market for solar paneling can include nearly everyone on the planet who has a roof, and if they do not have a roof, a nice surface can be arranged instead. Businesses, such as large corporations can benefit from the use of clean energy as a show of being socially responsible and there will be a significant cost savings. As we know, the public has been extremely critical in the wake of devastating disasters such as oil spills and nuclear power plant meltdowns. The environment has been damaged and wild life wiped out by the thousands. Adopting the use of solar energy can help to greatly reduce the dependency on traditional energy sources, ultimately eliminating the need completely. Targeting customers with high energy usage will find a significant savings. Who does not want to save money? Also appealing is a person’s ability to contribute to being environmentally aware by electing to convert to using solar energy.
SunPower’s MissionWe pledge, as the leading innovator of the most efficient technology for collecting solar energy to provide excellent installation and customer service for both commercial businesses
