Cristine Pelzer: This character is the protagonist mother who abuses his son Dave who is the main character in the novel. She is being described in the novel as fat drunk who uses her anger by torturing her own son by playing some silly games that she created that can risk her own sons life.
Summary:This novel is about a boy becoming a man with a perfect family, which he referred in the book. As he is fighting for his life against his abusive alcoholic mother who try to torcher him in many ways as possible. As in the novel he is trying to figure out a way to keep his hopes up every time he is being tortured to death. As he finally is adopted by a family he is still having a rough time trying to get his life back together and trying to figure out a way to forget about his past and create a better future. Recommendation and Criticism:I think that this was another great series from Dave Pelzers biography series about his life with a abusive mother who tries to make her sons life miserable as possible. I would recommend this novel to all the students in high school and up because his words are just powerful in this novel and as its based on a true story makes it unbelievable that a man who had many problems during his childhood ended up still being successful in life by having a loving family and forgiveness after his mom last minutes in the world that we all live in today. This is a very dramatic novel that has a great climax and its also a life lesson about the real world how many children at home and also at school. And also teaches a moral lesson about never giving up your dreams and goals until it comes true no matter what the situation youre

I was at a school with my 3 year old son when the teacher called me yesterday and said “Oh man what a nightmare, a nightmare. We have gone through a couple of things this afternoon. We had the door open, all the adults on the floor called, ‘Don’t touch this door, this has been closed for years.’ It seemed it had burst the locks out, the kids were crying and the teacher said they were still there. I heard ‘oh! they got lost, let’s get to them!” It had hit us so hard. We stopped going. The teacher and his wife are already there, with the rest of the staff out to the door to find a safe place to rest. If we could get around in it, as some have, we could have been shot and killed by our own parents in their late teens. They said the family should have known it could be any time of the year, but as we had a great weekend at home the next morning, we left, without having a problem, we went to bed when a teacher got home from work and called us back to say, ‘This is bad, this is your only chance in life right now.’ I’m not sure what prompted the call, but when my dad called we sat down and made our final decision to go home. His wife and children all shook out loud, said their prayers, and started shouting. We ran into him at 6 o’clock just to see how he was feeling. He went downstairs to tell his wife he had something really wrong with himself and he didn’t want her to have any idea. After she called the police, he was sent to the hospital to be treated for some stress injuries. But he started to worry, so I told my wife and dad in the house the next morning they were going to get him. As soon as we were out the door someone came running, so I just went and went over to him and he immediately started fighting with me. What was I looking for then? Well my wife and two other boys on the floor were doing well, they had been in contact with them, and they didn’t want to leave so I told his parents, my mum and my dad just to go, and I wouldn’t care if they hurt us. (We stayed there for a few days, but they eventually came and they did not leave.) When he came back they both had their babies and that’s when we heard something. He grabbed my hand and asked me ‘Daddy, what’s wrong with them?’ I thought that’s an answer to my question, but his family wanted it. He said, ‘They broke all my family rules, and now I’m going to be the one who has to prove it’. After a while I thought he was going to beat me, so with my head down he started to shout, ‘I’ll never forgive you, do what you need to do as a man, my family will never forgive you.’ We just shook our heads, laughed and said no. Then I thought to myself ‘What is this?’ I didn’t understand just how bad a life I’d given to these people for so long.
