Ergonomics refers to the law of work / relationship between employees and their workstation/working environment.
The way you sit — your posture is very important, but thats only 1 sepect of ergonomics. Your workstation and workplace environment are all part of ergonomics.
THE ERGONOMICALLY CORRECT WORKSTATION
How is your body positioned when you sit @ the CPU?
Where are your feet? Are they stretched out under desk or dangling in the air?
How easy is it for you to read images on the monitor?
How much reading light do you have?
This is all-important if you spend the whole day on the CPU. This affects your productivity on the job.
HEAD – bent slightly, not too far back or forward.
SHOULDERS – relaxed and comfortable, not slouching
ELBOWS – bent at 90 degrees, lower arms parallel to keyboard
BACK REST – adjust to support lower back
WRISTS – ensure in neutral position, not bent upwards or downwards.
