Civil WarJessica LazierThe United States have been in many wars. One of the most important wars that the United States was involved in was the Civil War. The Civil War was a war between the north and the south. The north won for many reason and the south lost for many reasons.
The north won the Civil War for many reasons. One reason was that the north had more men to fight for them, those included people who wanted to put an end to slavery and slaves themselves. This helped because the north had more men to lose which was to the advantage. The second reason is that the union blocked all the southern ports. When the north put a blockade to all the southern ports the south could no longer get any supplies, which included medicine and weapons. The third reason is that the north had more control of newer weapons. The fact that the north had more of a transportation system helps the north get more of the weapons such as repeating weapons. Also the north had better generals that were inspirational and have a good strategy.
The south lost the civil war for many reason. One reason is that the confederate government did not have the financing for the war. They tried to get money for borrowing it and for an income tax. They then started to make paper money. By 1864 they have 1.5 billion dollars in paper money. The second reason is that the war increased in stability in the southern society this was because of the blockade, it cut off southern planter form producers of the north markets. It also wrecked havoc on the landscape, destroying farmland, town cited and railroads. The third reason is the south didnt have the man power that the north had. The north could afford to lose thou sons of men which they could replace meanwhile the south could not. The fourth reasons that the south lost the war was that Jefferson Davis failed to create an effective central command system. The last reason is that at the south failed

In the wake of the end of the Civil War in 1861-1865 the Confederate states of North and South joined forces. At the time the war was declared, the General Generals of the Army, Navy, and Air Force had already reached the conclusion that the US had enough resources the army would be able to fight the Civil War. There were still many ways to expand the war. However, all of these were done at the same time. In fact, by the time Lincoln decided to move the army to South Carolina, there were more than 3,000,000 blacks, most of whom did not own guns and few had any other means of defense than to fight the war.

“It has been well pointed out that there was some difficulty in maintaining control over some Negro citizens of the Confederacy. These were a minority who were largely hostile to the idea of the war. And all of the people that had come into contact with them said they were glad the government was now out of this Negro country in that way. No doubt the general and his troops have made progress in these last three or four decades. Of the black men to whom I have mentioned, about 400,000 have been killed in the Civil War, but in spite of our difficulties, the civil war still has more than 200,000 people who have made a contribution to the war. They had a lot of opportunities in the war, and the reason given for that is clear. The people of the Confederacy had no means of resisting the government. They feared it would be too hard to win the battle and that the war would fail if they did not fight.”
The Civil War was a far cry from Jim Crow. Despite its name, it was based squarely on Jim Crow ideas. Civil rights were largely an end to South Carolina’s civil rights movement; the Southern states in particular were the real victims because they provided a platform to the slave trade and led the way of the Confederate government. Lincoln was opposed to the idea of Jim Crow as a way of forcing a slave rebellion at the same time he was opposed to the idea of civil rights in the South but he could not hide his deep interest in Jim Crow for many years. But by the 1890s it was becoming clear to even some blacks that he was ready to take the fight from the civil rights movement and put it to the people – both the blacks and Americans. The Civil Rights Movement had led the way in changing slavery across the country but it did not stop with the African slave trade. The Civil Rights movement had also led to the formation of the South’s highest court judge, John White, who was also a black, a fact that helped to make him part of the South’s establishment of the white family.
