Appendix: Executive summary The Starbucks Corporation is an American coffee company and coffeehouse chain based in Seattle, Washington. Founded in 1971, Starbucks is now the largest coffeehouse company in the world, with 23,132 stores in 65 countries and territories, including the United States, China, Canada, Japan and United Kingdom. Starbucks serves hot and cold drinks, whole-bean coffee, micro ground instant coffee known as VIA, espresso, café latte, full-leaf teas, Fresh juices, pastries, and snacks. Most stores also sell packed food, coffee and merchandizing articles. Some of the companys products are seasonal or specific adjusted to the locality of the store. besides in the stores, Starbucks-brand coffee, ice cream and bottled cold coffee drinks are also sold at grocery stores and other partners.
