Power can change people in a way that is incomprehensible. It can make someone so greedy that they would do anything for it and would not let anyone, or anything stand in their way. Power can make people so hungry that they would find it difficult to make sensible decisions. Macbeth shows how power can harm ones sense of security. Macbeth, who is the central character, lets his greed for power consume him. This makes him do things that he would not normally do. He is told to “have a false face and that he must hide what the false heart does know.” This is seen as the first incident where Macbeth is changed as a character.
