There are a few physical essentials that all people need in order to survive. These necessities are food, water, and shelter. I do believe however a strong argument could be made for the psychological needs of humans, without which the will to live may in itself cease. However for the sake of argument let’s say that the requirements for life are food, water, and shelter. As such, one would expect to find any sort of person in the grocery gathering these basics, and as to be expected one does. However, when faced with the question “What sorts of people do the shopping?”, we must analyze whose doing most of the shopping. This was the question my team and I chose to consider.
In an effort to simplify the process we opted to try and categorize the general populace into individual groups so as to gain perspective. The categories I broke the study down into where age, gender, race, nationality, class, and if they came alone or as a couple. As this was only
