I am doing a research paper on “Students Rights” but I have broken down my research to a specific topic and I picked cyber bullying since it has been such a problem with the world these days. I picked this topic because I am a student and would like to know how and what students are fighting against since I am a student. This topic is important because there are many factors behind this issue that are very serious! Roughly 10 percent of all youths in grades 7-9 are victims of internet bullying.
This form of bullying can be more serious than usual bullying. Cyber bullying is taken place through several media, internet, harassment, mails, emails, or instant messages. But trying to help it, several states have created laws to prevent it such as Arkansas, Delaware, S.C, New Jersey, Michigan, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon ect. People should care about the rights us students have because it impacts students way of life and how serious they take school. I mean students should all have equal rights, it is important to make students happy and make sure they are enjoying their time in school. It seems that the students are having problems with their rights they are giving, and abusing them. The students are the most powerful influence on their school tone and climate; they are the ones that decide their behavior. But it is also the adults fault for what they also put on the internet because kids are inspired by them. Also if parents suspect something is wrong with this child they shouldnt just forbid it, they should get right down to it and figure out what the problem is before it gets to serious.
