Why Study Asian history?
I learned a lot about a few different Asian countries and their cultures. Some of the different countries were India, Taiwan, China and Vietnam. There were some similarities between the cultures in Asia. Majority of Asian (Indian, Japanese, Chinese) immigrants seem to have stable jobs when they come. They pursue many different careers. More often than not, they pursue jobs like doctors or engineers (and less blue collar jobs). This might be because a lot of the Asian countries seem to have strict education systems. They seem to put education before anything else and the education system puts a lot of pressure on young students. Some Asian countries also have a similar gap in their income levels. There might be a handful of really really rich people and a lot of working class and more people in poverty.
I think it’s important for people in Hawaii to learn about Asian history because of all the different kinds of races that exist
