Successful Students
It seems that all successful college students learn certain lessons quickly. These lessons are practiced from the moment they start college. It is not clear why it may be easy for some but difficult for others to learn such important lessons. It is clear, however, that those college students who learn to be self-disciplined, organized, and responsible are more likely to become triumphant.
In college it is very important to be self-disciplined. For example, students should be on time, be well prepared and alert for every class. It is essential for a student to be in the classroom before the teacher shows up so that way the student will get all the information the teacher considers important to share with the class. It is imperative to go over the material at night so it will make it easier to understand what is going on in the class and be able to participate or ask questions about the theme. Also, students need to make sure they have a routine of physical exercise like running, walking, or even going to the Gym. These physical activities will help to keep the mind alert and well oxygenated. If students apply all this into the everyday routine, it will become as part of their life. Self-discipline is one of the most vital tools students can own in their life.
Organization is a high priority for college development. It is important students pick the right courses at the time they want them to be, so there are no gaps of more than one hour between each class. Students must make a schedule that will help them to achieve the things they want from college. Every time students take a class, they have to prepare for the course group and be ready to take notes. These notes are important material to have when they have to prepare for a test. Some courses require lab hours and sometimes this means 10% of the grade, so they have to find the time to also accomplish with this task. It is very important to be organized when a student wants to be successful in college; I mean students should acquire this as a habit.
Students must be responsible for their own career and understand that it is more important to pass with an A than a C. The sooner the student realizes that their success is more important to themselves than anyone else, the better. Especially, when later on they want to find the right job and they do not have the appropriate grades it would make this purpose more difficult. Student that graduates with higher grades will have better opportunities than other students that graduate with lower grades. Students are the only ones that would make the big difference in their own life so this is why responsibility is a main subject in college.
Lessons like being self-disciplined, organized, and responsible are the main keys to be a successful student, so the more students understand how important these lessons are, the better they will do in
