Dancing with the Thanes
. Dancing with the ThanesOver the passage of time there have been thousands of revered authors whose work has faded away over the centuries. Shakespeare’s literature on the others hand as you all know is regarded widely as the greatest writing in the English language. His timeless efforts have survived the twists and turns of history’s pathway, leaving his literature thriving in authenticity. Focusing largely on themes such as ambition, power, and corruption, Shakespeare’s plays have proven to hold an enormous amount of relevance to today’s contemporary society. His “Macbeth” is one in particular that has demonstrated astonishing success, especially thorough his portrayal regarding the tragic flaws of “Brave Macbeth”However Shakespeare’s powerful interpretation of these key morals has become somewhat dated, so a modernised portrayal of Shakespeare’s theatre play “Dancing with the Thanes” has been proposed: a scandalous film where limits are pushed, bonds are broken, and one all-star dance group, crowned the Thane of Dance.  Channel YES will be a suitable channel to premier this spectacular movie at about 10pm on a Friday night, targeting the specific audience of teenagers and young adults, with the intention on extending the appeal of Shakespeare to modern audiences.
The film will predominantly highlight the key theme of ambition, depicted by the protagonist’s, overthrow of power and the rise and fall of the tragic hero. Typically, for those of you who don’t know a tragic hero is a figure of high stature, often of noble background. This person is primarily respectable, but suffers a self-inflicted falling out due to flaws in their personality. In Shakespeare’s Macbeth, the eponymous character can be seen as a tragic hero. The proposed film will be transformed into a spectacular movie featuring two elite dance groups who go head to head in a scandalous and mind blowing dance off in a quest to be crowned “Thane of dance”. According to the leader board team Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are scraping in behind the gullible and trusting Duncan and loyal Malcolm. Originally the brave and loyal eponymous hero holds great potential from his overly ambitious qualities but, after three infatuated fans corrupt Macbeth’s moral standards, with the encouragement from the conniving and dedicated Lady Macbeth, he results to using immoral means to take down Malcolm and Duncan. And as usual the tragic hero is held in high esteem. Unfortunately for Macbeth his determination absolutely devours him. Only Lady Macbeth is consumed with guilt, and is forced to withdraw from the competition, provoking Macbeths downfall. To conclude these immoral events Macbeths scheming behaviours has got him caught cheating in the competition, so Malcolm is crowned the “Thane of Dance.”
