The organizational culture is the sum of organization’s ideology, value and belief. The organization culture includes four types of organization structure: adaptability culture, the mission culture, the clan culture and the bureaucratic culture. Each of culture structures has its own character. Such as the Coca-Cola company’s organizational culture, it is a sample of the mission culture. Coca-Cola pays attention to perceive the organization goal clearly and emphasizes completing the goal effectively. The individual persons should be responsible for the organization’s performance, the Coca-Cola company also gives appropriate Commitment and specific return to them.

The ethical value is the basic moral norms and values for guiding the person or the organization to make decession and strategy. There are four main factors could influence the ethical value. They are Individual ethical, organization culture, organization system and external stakeholder. Based on the ethical value, the leader of organization shapes the organization culture should obey the following approaches. The leader should take the entrepreneurial characteristics into the organization culture and take the experiences of team work into the organization culture. The leader also needs to use formal system and operational process to solidify the organization culture.

In my opinion, I think this is the most important content of this chapter. Because these approaches could lead the organization to create a effective organization culture and ethical value. It is good for the organization facing the different challenges, innovating its organization management and creating high performance. Additionally, the leader due to create the culture and the ethical value, the organization could increase positive energy to maintain advantage and level of the global economic environment.
