STRENGTHS
When you look at the SWOT analysis of Wal-Mart you should be able to see what their strengths are and what they are doing the right way. Wal-Mart’s main strength is that they have a solid foundation of customers and employees. Their foundation is very loyal. They have been able to get this kind of loyalty from excellent pricing, good customer service, and having a stores offered in parts of the country where others stores aren’t found. The employees enjoy flexible hours as well as health insurance, competitive wages, and also company discounts.
WEAKNESSES
There are a lot of weaknesses that can be found in the SWOT analysis of Wal-Mart. For them to be able to keep their prices low, they have to purchase substantial quantities. This makes their inventory quite large and unreliable. You might not be able to find the exact item you are looking for. They also seem to have more part time employees than full time employees so that they don’t have to pay out too many insurance benefits.
OPPORTUNITES
Wal-Mart really needs to improve their whole perception on the future and focus on what needs to happen. Most of the customers in America have been driven mostly by cost but now this is starting to change. The customers are thinking of the bigger picture and this means that Wal-mart is going to have to start coming up with positive ideals. They need to promote human labor laws and fair trade, and also do some more promoting for the stay green world.
THREATS
The biggest threat that the SWOT analysis of Wal-Mart has is Washington D.C. There is a trade war that is starting to come together with the war between the U.S. and China that will lead to much higher prices and that the higher prices could be a very negative impact on their bottom
