“Malignant racial biases can and do reside in interracial liaisons,” Kennedy wrote. “But against the tragic backdrop of American history, the flowering of multiracial intimacy is a profoundly moving and encouraging development.”

Why can’t the same be said true of same sex unions? When God made the heavens and the earth, I believe he had a plan in mind. He wanted to birth a nation that would continue to flourish for hundreds of thousands of years to come. It’s happening!!! According to the Bible, the first two people on earth were a man and a woman, Adam and Eve. They were both placed on Earth outside of their “will,” but they indeed still had choices. Eve chose to bite a piece of the forbidden fruit, as did Adam. God provided each and every one of us the ability to choose for ourselves, and who are we to judge? Every individual has the right to make his/her own individual choice. Why it is that politicians and bureaucrats get to decide who marries who, I don’t know. They get to choose their life partner don’t they? I am happy with the way I am and I find myself to be most comfortable with other heterosexuals. However, it is also important to realize that there is more than just one sexual orientation. Although I don’t believe that homosexuality is innate, I know it certainly exists. My religion would have me believe that same-sex union is wrong, but that same religion also provides me with free-will, choice and teaches me not to judge others. Although I don’t agree with the lifestyle, I am in no position to judge anyone or tell anyone who they should love and ultimately marry. I don’t place any one value in the Bible over another, so I believe it is everyone’s right to make their own choice and actively practice their free-will. This country was founded based upon Judeo-Christian moral codes which deem homosexuality immoral or sinful. When we were granted independence from Great Britain and officially defined as “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all,” presidents still owned slaves. At one point history, not too long ago, a black man and a white woman together in public elicited the death penalty. It was only 40 years ago — on
