Part 1: Team Strategy Plan
The organization is Riordan Manufacturing I am a newly hired superintendent hired to lead a new team that will begin production of a newly designed CardiCare Valve heart valve. In this paper it will discuss the different strategies of building teams, and the challenges, and barriers that may arise during this process. The best strategies to handle the problem will be discussed, and the measures that will help determine if the team is working successfully will be determined also for the organization benefit. The second part of the paper will discuss a conflict management plan for David and James. In this plan it will include the various conflict management strategies available to handle and resolve the issue. The strengths and weaknesses of each strategy will be discussed. The different selected considerations for the new strategies will be discussed also. The alternate strategies and possible challenges to the conflict management strategies will also be discussed to help create a mutual satisfactory agreement to the problem.

Identify Various Strategies available to Build Teams
The strategy of building an effective team is important for Riordan Manufacturing future. The teams need to produce high quality products the team will need to consist of employees who are motivated, and have the knowledge, and the understanding about the job requirements. The role of each team member will need to be clarified in the first meeting along with roles of each team member have. According to the text it states there is a five stage model for building a team, (Stephen P. Robbins, 2011). The development of group has five stages the first stage is forming brings about the purpose in which the team is coming together. The second is storming where the team or group is interacting and assigning task for each member. The third is norming this is when the group presents its rules for the team and its expectations. The fourth stage is performing the group or team is interacting to complete the task. The fifth stage is adjourning the team has finished the assignment, and is going his or her separate ways, (Stephen P. Robbins, 2011).

The next strategy for building a team according to the text is an alternative method of team formation. The group or team comes together to work on a project by a set deadline. The first meeting is the introduction of the assignment the team will work on. The second meeting is for team updates and the team works hard to meet the deadline. The third meeting is where the team is almost finished with the task. The forth meeting is where major developments on the project are coming together. The fifth stage the team continues to work hard to get the job completed before the deadline. The sixth stage is the final meeting with the completed project, (Stephen P. Robbins, 2011).

What Challenges or Barriers May Happen
When a team is newly formed there could be many challenges and barriers that the team could experience. The team has not worked together before so communication could be one of the team biggest issues at first. The team may also face problems with meeting deadlines, and leadership issues. Task conflicts could be a barrier for many teams the team could be in disagreement about the way the job is carried out or the delegation of task among team members. Relationship conflicts could also create barriers if team members are not respectful of one another or the different personalities could clash and create a barrier.

How Will the Best Strategy be Determined
The best strategy for the team will be determined by how well the individuals interact and work with each other to complete the task in a timely manner. The group must also be able to communicate his or her points of view, and ideas openly without any interruption by others in the group, (Stephen P. Robbins, 2011). The group must have a diverse variety of individuals men and women that possess different skills, and working abilities, (Stephen P. Robbins, 2011).

Measures To Determine if the Team Is Operating Successfully
Work team effectiveness is important to Riordan Manufacturing and its management team. Managers have to beware of his or her surroundings and now how to listen effectively to the employees he or she may lead. Productive output is a measure for manager to know how well a team is working together by the decisions that are made, and the products that are produced, and the quality, and quantity of the products that are delivered before deadline. Another way a manager can tell if a team is operating successfully is by the satisfaction of the team members by and the way he or she interacts with others, and communication that is observed when the team is working together.
