The business is looking to expand their internet presence and become more customer focuses so that they can compete with other similar businesses like Bluefly, Zappos, Kohl’s, Macy’s, HauteLook, Nordstrom Rack and Lyst. Currently, the business has two full-time employees, three part-time employees, and a basic website that does not allow or online purchasing so expanding means integrating the business with e-business while:

Managing risks associated with privacy and securityProtecting company dataEnsuring their suppliers and vendors are properly protecting data, privacy and securityFurthermore, the business will need to overcome issues related to managing customer information and implementing proper reporting tools to help make informed decisions. The technology solution we will use will need to allow for integrated online shopping, managing inventory and shipping, providing order status, online payment processing, and facilitating collaboration internally and externally. (SNHU, n.d.)Two TechnologiesThe two technologies that we will focus on for the Illuminate business systems requirements are:Wireless, mobile computing, and mobile commerceIntelligent SystemsThe first technology of wireless, mobile computing and mobile commerce is going to be critical for the business growth and provide a wireless reach to more customers anywhere and at any time. Mobile computing is a “real-time connection between a mobile device and other computing environment” which have the advantage of mobility and broad reach (Rainer & Prince, 2016). Illuminate will also need to participate in m-commerce (or mobile commerce) which is the electronic “transactions that are conducted in a wireless environment, especially over the internet” which would include online purchasing (Rainer & Prince, 2016).
