Techno to me is fast paced. It is wild and new age. Which is in most cases the theme of this art show. I was impressed that so many different types of mediums could come together so well. The theme was very good for what was being shown. As for the sublime part. I felt a little un easy in the show. So much going on and in so many different ways was a little overwhelming. It lacked direction and labels which in a way I can understand because of the artistic appeal and to let each person take their own stance. But some of the computer lcds and sign language shows were vague and I didnt understand the direction the artist was going for. Maybe it was just to show that computer language and thought is beautiful and artistic as well. I am not sure. I really enjoyed the first few photos. The explosions were very strong and colorful. The red and blue brought out the emotion and devastation that the photo held. The other photo that got my attention was the blurred image of the human and the torch. It was done tastefully and made me double take to really understand what was going on. I enjoy art that makes you look at it a second time to get it. Lastly the video game display was close to home for me. I have played most of those games through out my childhood and I can see where the narrator was coming from at times. I was a pretty good compellation, but I have seen compellations similar to this time and time again on a television show called cinematech. This show was very interesting and made me rethink what I consider art. I see to be doing that more and more lately.
