This may save time of the lecturer in a class and seems to be more secured than traditional attendance system. Furthermore using digital attendance system can be a step towards the future “E-School”.
Proposed SystemTo turn our traditional attendance system into a digital system, mobile phone with smart applications can probably be the best thing. In this proposed system an android application needs to be developed which will eliminate all the drawbacks of the existing system, which consist of the following dynamic features:
Time saving as attendance can be taken just by checking the list of the students.No needs to maintain several separate records and manual calculations.24×7 availability of information.More secured than traditional attendance system.A step towards the futuristic e-schoolsThe Operations of Mobile Phone Based Attendance SystemIt can be used wherever the attendance is a necessity such as in schools, colleges and institutes and almost everywhere.At first, specialized software will need to be installed at each of the mobile phones of lecturers and students.To take the attendance Lecturers will login to the phone application and get connected to the server.Then he will select the section, department, semester and year. After this session he will enters in to an attendance page.

I will run a small program for each section to watch for the changes in attendance.A student that attends at a certain period will have to pay a certain fee while others go down the same route.I will keep the current students and those that attend at the same time. Each semester I will track the last few months as we try to improve.The application will track a percentage of the attendance. If it does not match, we’ll send an alert.Please do not send notifications that a group of students are going down and are not coming back. Also do not try to track students with large groups because they don’t have the information, since the group has different information. It’s a problem to monitor a specific area.If the students, which are still enrolled in the school day, can use the app, the data will be saved right away, just as if you have a notebook or a computer. The application then will collect information on the people that live at the school and what kind of information will be stored and will update its data once the number of units has been posted.
