CommunismEssay title: CommunismCommunism had one of the greatest political impacts than any other political ideas in the 20th century around the world. What is important and interesting about communism is its background, concept, and why many countries apply to this idea. This essay will generally focus on the background, ideology, and why the countries and political parties applied to this idea.

Communism did not exist until the 18th century. The idea of communism originated from the industrial revolution in Great Britain and French Revolution in France. These two revolutions had proven the fact that rich and power could be successfully challenged by the poor the powerless people. During this time Ў§A German philosopher and economist born in 1818, who lived most of his life in England, Karl MarxЎЁ (Communism, pg 7) was very aware of the huge gap between the rich and the poor. The poor were starving while the rich were luxurious and wealthy. Marx wanted to change this, and he wanted to make things right, so the best way to accomplish the goal is through the idea of socialism or communism

Communism could lead to better living conditions; a world in which you could be self-sufficient by going on an extended vacations. It could lead to greater food availability, a higher quality of life… That is why there was to find a way to build up a more socialist system in the long run.

Russian revolution was not made just for Russia or for eastern Europe (Soviet power collapsed during the 19th century), but in the entire world. In the world of socialist communism, a small minority has to survive, so the Russian revolution had to come about not for the sake of economic and social progress, but for the sake of the social and political revolution. This did not do well for the other minority, who had to carry all the burden (like the middle class). It was because of the problems with the working class that the Russians wanted to fight for such an end, and also because it was easier to fight for an end to the middle class and for a state controlled economy. This is why the revolution was a revolution for the middle class and not the proletariat.

To avoid such conflicts in the world of socialist communism and to avoid them in the world of Russian communism (which in turn was the goal towards a more socialized economy), Bolsheviks used various methods to create an extremely popular revolution. First, through the use of the peasantry–a large group (at least five thousand) in Moscow (mostly peasants in Russia’s Karelia region.) the masses started to gather around Bolshevik leaders as a means of spreading power among them and organizing against the Soviet domination. Second, the peasantry was encouraged by this by the government to go to work for the Russian government. This led to many young workers who joined the Bolshevik political movement, and for them to organize in these areas. With this organization, the power of the working class rose and this was the first step toward social democratic and socialist society. This was an attempt to create more and better conditions in the country. Third, the peasants were educated to live within the means of the peasants’ trade unions in their respective areas. This gave the peasants the opportunity to make use of a large number of workers’ labor-power, which enabled them to become productive and to be part of society in their own way.

The revolution lasted only two or three years, but it succeeded in building a small number of factories that made its way into other areas of Russia and in the United States.

When an early Bolshevik Bolshevik party leader was assassinated, Lenin took the initiative to set up a series of large-scale reforms, starting with a party that was actually based upon the peasant and peasant-led councils. One by one, the

Ў§The word communism comes from the French word ЎҐcommunЎ¦ which means ЎҐbelong to all.Ў¦ЎЁ (Communism, pg 6) The idea and concept of communism is very similar to socialism. Ў§Under socialism, there will be shared ownership but people would still be rewarded according to how much work they have done.ЎЁ (Communism, pg 5) In contrast, Ў§under communism, all the means of productions and distributions were publicly owned. There is no private or individual ownership of business or land.ЎЁ (Counterpoints pg 50) Under MarxЎ¦s postulation, when the idea of communism is used, there would be no racial or classical conflicts. Police will not be needed and people can live in harmony. MarxЎ¦s theory won many supports from many countries and political parties throughout the world in the 20th century. They believed that MarxЎ¦s theory MarxЎ¦s idealism of communism will lead to a utopia world, and many believed that communism will eventually replace capitalism. Although the idea of communism was accepted, several years later, people were starting the reject the idea, because there
